PDQ Smart Locks are the latest offerings from PDQ, a company which offers a complete line of architectural grade door hardware. PDQ’s Smart Locks are offered in three categories.
1. STP – Standalone Smart Touch Pin
The STP Locks work on single doors. They can be unlocked by either entering a PIN code on the keypad of the lock, or through a smart phone or smart watch. These locks are extremely simple to install. They do not require any hard wiring and utilize standard door preps. The locks can accept up to a 100 users and store 25 of the most recent lock events (audit logs) on the app, and one years worth of audit logs on the cloud software. Schedules (of locking/unlocking events) can also be created and handled by the locks.

2. STS – Mobile Based/Bluetooth Access Control
The STS Locks work on single doors and can also be scaled up to multi-facility management. The locks have built in bluetooth which connects to the bluetooth on your smart phone or smart watch. These locks are simple to install and utilize standard door preps. 100’s of users can be enrolled. Over-the-air communication is encrypted using AES 128 bit encryption.

3. XLS – Networked Access Control
The XLS Locks can be managed from a remote location. Therefore tasks like managing users and schedules can be performed wirelessly over the internet from a remote computer. The XLS locks work on single doors and can also be scaled up to multi-facility management. The locks are easy to install. They do not require any hard wiring, and utilize standard door preps. The locks can accept 1000’s of users and devices. There are multiple credentials that an XLS lock accepts. You can use your smart phone, smart watch or a Mifare enabled smart card or fob to unlock the lock. The locks are also bluetooth enabled. The locks also come with a keypad, and can be unlocked by entering a PIN code also.
